Beef and Mushroom Stew

1-1/2 lb. stew beef
1 can French onion soup, undiluted
1/2 cup red Burgundy wine
Salt. to taste
Ground blavk pepper, to taste
4 to 5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 carrot, peeled and sliced
2 cups (one 8 oz. pkg.) fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 bay leaf
Pinch of dried rosemary
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes, undrained
3 TB instant Tapioca pearls
Combine all ingredients except tomatoes. Cover and cook on LOW heat setting
for 8 to 10 hours.
Add tomatoes about 45 minutes to an hour before done. Taste and adjust
seasonings.
Serves: 6.
