1 1/2 pound green cabbage, shredded 1/8" thick
2/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 t. salt, plus more to taste
1 cup heavy cream
Black pepper
Place cabbage in a large bowl. Then cover and refrigerate until well chilled,
about 30 minutes. Mix the sugar, vinegar, and 1 t. salt in a small bowl. Add the
dressing to the cabbage, tossing well. Add the cream and toss again. Cover and
refrigerate for 30 minuets. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Tip: For more
colors, shred half a head of red cabbage and half a head of green cabbage and
mix together. You can also use a vegetable peeler to shred 2 to 3 carrots and
add them to the slaw as well.
