Pork Chops With Brown Rice
4 pork chops, about 1 lb.
1 T. cooking oil
1 pkg. (4 5/8 oz.) quick cooking brown and wild rice mix with mushrooms
1 1/3 c. water
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/2 c. sour cream
In a skillet, brown chops in hot oil over med. heat. Remove chops from the skillet; discard drippings. In the same skillet, combine rice mix, water and celery; place chops over rife mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 min. Remove chops from skillet; keep warm. Stir sour cream into rice mixture; heat through, but do not boil. Serve with chops. Makes 4 servings.
