4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 T. bourbon
1 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup chocolate pieces
3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 pit shell, unbaked (9")
Whipped cream, optional
Beat eggs and sugar together only until well blended. Add butter, bourbon and syrup. Beat only to blend. Stir in chocolate pieces and pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350. Continue baking 30 minutes or until set in middle. serve at room temperature or when slightly warmed with whipped cream if desired.
