4 med. apples, peeled, cored & sliced thin
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
12 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
1/3 cup butter or margarine
Nonstick coating spray
Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. In a small bowl, mix sugars & cinnamon
together.
On wax paper brush 1 phyllo sheet with some butter. Keep remaining phyllo
covered with a damp towel. Repeat with 5 more sheets, brushing each with
butter
to make 6 layers.
Place half of the apples in a 2" wide strip along 1 long edge of phyllo,
leaving 2" along short sides. Sprinkle apples with half the sugar mixture.
Fold
in 2" along the short sides; roll up tightly, beginning with long side with
apples.
Spray a 15"x10"baking sheet, place roll, seam side down on sheet.
Repeat procedure for second roll. Brush both rolls with butter. Bake at 350F
for 30-35 minutes. Cool on rack. Slice into 16 servings.
