1/2 cup butter
2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8 inch square baking pan. Combine the butter and chocolate in a saucepan. Place over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Cool to room temperature. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Beat together the eggs and sugar in a bowl until thick and lemon colored using an electric mixer at high speed. Blend in the cooled chocolate mixture and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in the walnuts. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars
