Buttermilk Brownie Sheet Cake

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup water
1/4 cup butter or regular margarine
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
Buttermilk Frosting (recipe follows)
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Sift together flour, sugar, and cocoa into a mixing bowl. Combine water, butter, and oil in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat just until the butter melts. Add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for one minute. Add the eggs and beat for two more minutes. Dissolve the baking soda into the buttermilk. Blend into the chocolate mixture. Pour batter into prepared jelly roll pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a rack for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the Buttermilk Frosting. Spread on the warm cake. Cool completely and cut into squares.
Buttermilk Frosting: Combine 1/3 cup butter or regular margarine, 2 tbsp buttermilk, and 2 tbsp baking cocoa in a saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted. Place 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir in the hot cocoa mixture. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth and creamy.
