Butterscotch Nut Cookies 2 1/2 cups sifted flour Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add sifted ingredients and nuts. Mix well. Shape into 2 rolls about 1 1/2-inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight or until thoroughly chilled. Slice chilled dough 1/8-inch thick and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 6 to 7 dozen cookies. |
