Lavender Fairy Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh lavender flower
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2. Cream butter and sugar.

3. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

4. Stir in the dry ingredients until well blended.

5. Drop by half-teaspoons on ungreased baking sheet.

6. Bake 8-10 minutes, and cool slightly on baking sheet. Serve on tiny
plates.
