2 cups butter
4 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 1/4 cups sliced almonds, chopped
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
In food processor, using the steel blade, process the butter and flour until
it forms a ball. Form dough into 1" balls and place on ungreased baking
sheet. Use your knuckle to make a nest like indentation in each cookie.
Combine sugar, cinnamon and almonds. Spoon mixture into indentations. Bake
for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 or until slightly browned. Gradually add milk to
powdered sugar to form a glaze. Drizzle glaze over cookie to partially fill
the indentations. Cool before serving. Makes 3 dozen.
