Heat oven to 350. Grease 13x9x2" pan.
Combine:
2 cup packed light brown sugar
1C butter Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Beat till well blended. With a spoon, stir in:
2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Stir in 3 cup Quaker quick or old fashioned Oats, uncooked. Reserve
one third of mixture. Press remaining into bottom of baking dish.
In a medium saucepan combine:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 ripe bananas, sliced
2 Tbsp butter Crisco
Cook and stir constantly on low heat until mixture thickens and
resembles banana pudding. Remove from heat. Stir in:
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
Spread over base. Crumble reserved oat mixture over top of filling.
4-Bake for 25-30 min or until golden brown. Cool and refirgerate
or serve warm. Cut inot bars. Makes 2 dozen bars.
