This results in a biscotti-like product.
2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine
1 cup sour cream
2 t almond flavoring
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
1 cup sliced almonds
Cream sugar and margarine. Add remaining ingredients. Divide into three
greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from pans
and let cool 10 minutes or so (until cool enough to handle.) Slice into
1/2 inch thick slices. Lay on cookie sheets and brown at 325 degrees for
15 to 20 minutes, turning twice.
