Chicken a la Francaise
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2-1/2- to 3-pound chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained (reserve liquid)
Water
1/2 cup Wish-Bone Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
In large skillet, melt butter and brown chicken. Combine reserved liquid
with enough water to make 1-1/2 cups and chunky blue cheese dressing;
pour over chicken and cook covered, stirring occasionally, 35 minutes.
In small bowl, blend cornstarch with water; gradually stir into skillet.
Add pineapple and simmer, stirring constantly, an additional 10 minutes
or until sauce is thickened. Makes about 4 servings.
