5 medium onions, sliced
5 T. butter or margarine, divided
2 T. flour
Pepper to taste
cup beef bouillon
1/4 cup dry sherry
1 1/2 cups plain crotons
1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
Cook onions in 3 T. butter until tender. Blend in flour land dash of pepper. Add bouillon and sherry; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Turn into 1 quart casserole; cover and chill. Toss croutons with remaining 2 T. butter, melted. Bake casserole, covered, in 350 oven for 30 minuets. Sprinkle with buttered croutons, then cheeses. Bake uncovered, 5 to 10 minutes more. Serves 6
