4 eggs
8 slices bread with crust removed, cut in quarters
8 ounces shredded Cheddar, Swiss or American cheese
1 cup cooked and chopped ham
1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or 1 teaspoon
dried parsley flakes
paprika
Generously grease slow cooker. Alternate layers of
bread, cheese, and ham. Beat together eggs, milk, salt
and parsley. Pour over bread and cheese in slow
cooker. Sprinkle paprika over top. Cover and cook on
HIGH 30 minutes, then turn to LOW and cook for 3 to 4
hours longer.
