 Â
 1 cup brown sugar, packed
 2/3 cup butter
 1/4 cup corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter, divided
 1 tsp vanilla
 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats, uncooked
 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
 1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup peanuts, chopped and divided
 Â
Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a 13 x 9 in baking pan with aluminum foil. Grease the foil. Combine the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts. Remove from the heat. Stir in 1/4 cup peanut butter and the vanilla until smooth. Set aside. Place the oats in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the brown sugar mixture. Press the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together over low heat. Stir in the remaining 3/4 cup peanut butter until smooth. Set aside. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the peanuts over the crust. Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture on top. Spread evenly. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup peanuts. Cool until firm. Cut into squares. Yield: about 5 dozen
