Brisket with Cranberry Sauce
Beef Recipes
Brisket with Cranberry Sauce
Brisket with Cranberry Sauce
1 (2-1/2 lb.) fresh beef brisket
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1 can (16 oz.) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 TB prepared yellow mustard
Rub brisket with salt and pepper; place in a 5 quart crock pot/slow cooker.
Combine the cranberry sauce, tomato sauce, onion and mustard; pour over
brisket.
Cover and cook on LOW heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or until meat is tender.
Remove brisket; thinly slice across the grain. Skim fat from cooking juices;
serve with brisket.
Yield: 6 servings.
Note: This is a fresh beef brisket, not corned beef. The meat comes from the
first cut of the brisket.
